The Reverend John F. Keydel, Interim Rector

John KeydelThe Reverend John F. Keydel, Jr. officially began as our Interim Rector on May 16, 2016. John has extensive experience as an interim. Over his 18 years of ordained ministry, John’s main focus has been formation, whether for a diocese or as an interim. Prior to his work as an interim in specific congregations, he served as a Canon in the Diocese of Michigan for nine years, including six years as the Canon for Ministry Development and Transitional Ministries. Prior to that, he worked in various parish ministry positions. Father Keydel started his career with eleven years in retail banking in Connecticut. His M.Div. degree is from the Berkeley/Yale Divinity School, following upon M.B.A. and M.Ed. degrees. John and his wife Meg have two grown children. jkeydel@gmail.com

Lori S. Ramsey, Community Missioner

Lori’s ministry focuses on helping Christ Church reengage with our local community by working to discover and determine how best to respond to the issues challenging our community.  She is a liaison to the community center, town, police and fire departments, housing authority and other community groups that work to alleviate suffering and hardship among those in need as we seek to serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbor as ourselves. In addition, Lori helps with ministries to families with children and youth. Lori is a native of San Diego, California and recently relocated to St. Michaels from Durham, North Carolina with her son, Andrew, and partner, Kristen Greenaway. lori@christstmichaels.org

G. Stewart Seiple, Director of Music

StewartSeipleStewart joined Christ Church as Director of Music in the fall of 2015. His responsibilities include directing the Adult Chancel Choir, Handbell Choir, and serving as principal organist. A native of Baltimore, Stewart did his graduate level organ study at Westminster Choir College and Rice University. He has served on staff at churches in Maryland, Texas and New Jersey, and is a gifted tenor. gseipl1@rice.edu

Carol A. Osborne, Parish Administrator

Carol joined the Christ Church staff in October 2009 and is the friendly voice that greets one on the telephone and in the parish office. An active Episcopalian, Carol served as Secretary of Diocesan Convention and was on the board of Camp Wright, our diocesan summer camp. She continues her minisrty at the diocesan level by helping at Diocesan Convention. Prior to joining us, Carol served as parish administrator at Christ Church on Kent Island and on the staff of the Diocese of Easton. Carol lives with her husband John in Easton. George E. Short, Sexton

George serves as our sexton and, in that capacity, has oversight for our buildings and grounds upkeep and maintenance. He brings a wealth of talent and experience to our parish and carries out his responsibilities with tremendous professionalism and friendliness. A long-time resident of Talbot County and the Bay Hundred area, George lives in Wittman with his wife Jennie. George joined our parish staff in September 2009. info@christstmichaels.org

Ellie Fletcher, Childcare

FletcherAt Christ Church, we provide professional childcare 9 – 12 noon, every Sunday. Our caregiver is Ellie Fletcher. In addition to Sunday mornings with us, Ellie works at the St. Michaels’ YMCA child watch facility. Ellie, her husband and daughter moved to Tilghman from Newtown, CT in late 2012.
