The choir sings a wide range of repertoire, but focus is kept on the music of the Anglician Communion as found in the English Catherdral tradition. Rehearsal is on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM. The choir meets in the music room on the second floor of the parish house. All volunteers able to match pitch and blend with the ensemble are welcome to join, but basic music reading skills are a definite benefit. In addition to the Sunday service, the Choir sings at the Midnight service on Christmas Eve, the Christmas in St. Michaels event, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, two principal services on Easter Sunday, and the occasional offering of Choral Evensong.
The 10:15 AM service is enriched by the music of our handbell ringers who are each responsible for four different bells. They play on the second Sunday of the month and on other occasions as arranged. The group rehearses on Tuesday evenings, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM in the church. While there currently is a core group of ringers, we would welcome interested individuals who have some music experience.
